Giant Monsters and Magical Girls
Littlefolk are intelligent, proud, determined people. Aware of their size, they do not like to venture alone, and rely on numbers and overwhelming power to keep themselves safe. As a result they seldom leave their own lands, making it only the very powerful, or very adventurous (and extroverted) of their kind that ever venture beyond them.
While littlefolk who make their lives deep in the earth accept the term ‘dwarf’, they hate to be called ‘gnomes’. Their skills vary, but they are adaptive creatures with a knack for design, construction, and lore.
With that in mind, littlefolk enjoy the power that comes with discovery and knowledge, and are doubly aware how such knowledge can be used against them. As a result, littlefolk seldom share their discoveries with anyone, and prefer to peddle their guarded knowledge in the form of services.
For example: A littlefolk alchemist will never sell his potions, but might agree to heal or cure a person with them, and a littlefolk golemancer would rather rent out his golems than sell them to one of the “big folk”. Such is their way.
